Simply Betty is Simply Fabulous at 40!

The owner of one of my favorite stamp companies, Simply B Stamps, is turning 40! Betty Queen of Halloween Roberts’ birthday is today, November 10th!

Many of her fans and customers were in on a secret to make birthday cards for her with a secret image! It was such a fun image to color!

I know she’s going to be thrilled when she receives all the cards in the mail! We surely love Betty! Happy Birthday Betty!

Here is my card for Betty!

New Skin Tone Combo

Crafty peeps! I love this new combo for a rosy skin tone!

See photos for the colors used; they are listed in the order I applied them to the image. The image is from Saturated Canary, a fave digital stamp!

What do you think? There’s no wrong way to color so experiment!

Coloring Keeps Me Busy and Happy

Hey crafty peeps! I am really trying to catch up on all of my posting! I know not many people read my blog, I really write it for myself, but I do appreciate those that do and I thank you for being here.

These are just some miscellaneous coloring I have done recently, images I love but haven’t put on a project yet. Sometimes I just color for fun without a card in mind. It’s so relaxing!

Magic Beans!

Hello crafty peeps in crafty land! I was so excited to get my hands on the Magical Bean rubber stamp kit last month from The Greeting Farm! These images were perfect for summer! I had a lot of fun coloring these beauties with my Copic markers! I had all of them colored in one weekend! They are so stinkin’ cute!

Oh I just love ’em! What do you think?

Happy World Card Making!

Hi crafty peeps! Happy World Card Making Day! One of my favorite days of the year! This is the eighth annual day of celebration for card makers! There are tons of contests and online parties going on with lots of prizes! Some Odd Girl is having a linky party, and since they are my very favorite stamp company of all time, I’m thrilled to play along!

Check out the details here:

I got right to work this morning and put this cutie together! This card features Weekend Kaylee, a digi that comes with the free e-book by Kristy Dalman all about digital stamps. You can find it and download for free on the SOG blog!
I thought it was really generous of her to include a digi so newbies can practice! We love Kristy!

I colored Kaylee with my Copics, then used some delicious fall paper from Lily Bee Design’s Autumn Spice collection and yummy glitter gems from Prima Marketing! All supplies came from twopeasinabucket; my new favorite online store!

I hope you all do something crafty today!
Ok so here’s my card and my work space today:

Dare To Be…Happy

Hello again crafty peeps! It’s been a little quiet around here as I have been on the couch, down for the count with a pulled muscle in my back. I am finally feeling better and even made a card today with Dare To Be Gwen clear stamp set from Some Odd Girl. I am in love with this set! I think I have made about ten Gwens with paper piecing her skirt!

The washi tape background paper is from Stampington & Co. I knew I was saving it for a special card! Sequins are from Martha Stewart, purchased a couple of years ago.
Black glitter tape from American Crafts. Other washi tape from unknown (purchased from Scrapbook Steals.).
I love using up my stash! I haven’t been buying many new items so I can really use what I have. I could craft for years and still not run out!

Something about this card reminds me of my dear, sweet Mee Maw; I guess the colors and textures remind me of a quilt or an outfit she had. I miss her everyday.

Well hope you like my card! As always, thanks for stopping by!

Copics used:

Hair: E40, E41, E42, E43, E44
Shirt: R27, R24, R22, R21

Copic journal pages and weekend wrap up

Hello lovelies! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I sure did with camping, shopping and coloring! My hubby is so patient and good to me when we go camping near the shops! I got to shop at Michaels and eat at Olive Garden, my very favorite restaurant ever; seriously I could eat there everyday!

Anyways, I finished these pages like an hour before we left on Friday. Nothing like crafting up to the last second of departure. I am die hard!

Also, it’s my nephew’s first birthday today! I’ll post the card I sent to him. It turned out super special!

Well thanks for stopping by!

Cool panormaic shot my hubby took with his iPhone of our primo campsite at Scenic Beach State Park!

Lazy Day Kaylee

Here’s a clean and simple card I made with Lazy Day Kaylee, a digital stamp from Some Odd Girl. She was really easy and fun to color. I paper pieced her dress.

For her hair I used E44, E43, E42 and E40, which is a nice, ashy blonde. I’ve been trying to branch out and try new hair colors lately.

Hope you like her and thanks for stopping by! Oh and have a great weekend! We’re off camping again!
